(301) 529-4622 The Kappa Sigma Nu Prime Chapter has rented a house in Blacksburg for the 2017 & 2018 school year! The chapter is excited to finally have a home and place to gather. The house is conveniently located at 413 East Roanoke Street about three blocks from Main Street and downtown Blacksburg. The chapter is renting the house from the Lambda Chi Alpha Housing Corp. (who currently has no chapter in Blacksburg) and the lease runs through 7/31/18 with three one-year options to extend the lease. The lease also provides the Nu Prime Chapter a “First Right of Refusal for Purchase”. Many thanks go out to Kappa Sigma HQ who assisted the chapter by providing guidance and necessary insurance certificates during the rental process. The Nu Prime Alumni Association is not a party to the lease and has no financial responsibilities to the chapter’s rental house.
The chapter is subletting four bedrooms in the living quarters portion of the house to four senior brothers for this school year. The house will provide a huge opportunity for the chapter leaders and active brothers to gather for meetings, conduct rush/recruiting activities and hang out like happened for many decades at 607 North Main Street! Alumni contributions are needed more than ever now for the chapter with the new costs to operate and maintain a house. The Nu Prime Alumni Association has created a “Chapter Operations Fund” for alumni to donate non-deductible contributions to the alumni association for the purpose of supporting active chapter recruiting and operations expenses. Please click the link below to donate online. Donate to the Chapter Operations Fund The chapter works through the Alumni Advisor to have qualified chapter expenses reimbursed from this fund. Plans are being made for an alumni open house and alumni tailgate during the Pittsburgh football game weekend of November 18th. Please mark your calendars and plan to visit the Nu Prime Chapter’s new house and attend the Lot 4, Space 123 pre-game alumni tailgate! |
