The Kappa Sigma Nu Prime Chapter has rented a house in Blacksburg for the 2017 & 2018 school year! The chapter is excited to finally have a home and place to gather. The house is conveniently located at 413 East Roanoke Street about three blocks from Main Street and downtown Blacksburg. The chapter is renting the house from the Lambda Chi Alpha Housing Corp. (who currently has no chapter in Blacksburg) and the lease runs through 7/31/18 with three one-year options to extend the lease. The lease also provides the Nu Prime Chapter a “First Right of Refusal for Purchase”. Many thanks go out to Kappa Sigma HQ who assisted the chapter by providing guidance and necessary insurance certificates during the rental process. The Nu Prime Alumni Association is not a party to the lease and has no financial responsibilities to the chapter’s rental house.
The chapter is subletting four bedrooms in the living quarters portion of the house to four senior brothers for this school year. The house will provide a huge opportunity for the chapter leaders and active brothers to gather for meetings, conduct rush/recruiting activities and hang out like happened for many decades at 607 North Main Street!
Alumni contributions are needed more than ever now for the chapter with the new costs to operate and maintain a house. The Nu Prime Alumni Association has created a “Chapter Operations Fund” for alumni to donate non-deductible contributions to the alumni association for the purpose of supporting active chapter recruiting and operations expenses. Please click the link below to donate online.
Donate to the Chapter Operations Fund
The chapter works through the Alumni Advisor to have qualified chapter expenses reimbursed from this fund.
Plans are being made for an alumni open house and alumni tailgate during the Pittsburgh football game weekend of November 18th. Please mark your calendars and plan to visit the Nu Prime Chapter’s new house and attend the Lot 4, Space 123 pre-game alumni tailgate!
Guys and Gals,
Good Day. We hope you all are well.
The details are just about finalized for the 2017 version of the Nu Prime Alumni Golf Gathering (aka the Glenn Atkinson Memorial Golf Tourney). The event is going on the road this year - so you guys/girls from NOVA won't have to drive as far as in the past. Stafford is just about an hour from RVA and a bit less from NOVA. Plus, I'm willing to bet none of you has ever been incarcerated in Stafford - so now is your chance... We've got a great course lined up and a group hotel to stay at - so all we need now is YOU.
Here are the details:
Hotel rooms available on Friday and/or Sat nights here:
Rate is $124/night. Reservation code is MUL. Lots of places to eat/drink nearby. Pricing not super but we do have a block of rooms we can damage... There are other hotels in the area as well.
Golf will be held at the Augustine Golf Club. Here's the website:
We will have a 10AM shotgun start with range balls and bag lunch provided. Awards post-golf at the pub onsite. Place looks great - and we are the right guys to chew up a nice course....
Cost: $100.00/player (any surplus funds will be donated to a worthy charitable organization)
Please advise via email of your intention to either be a part of history or to let it slip past you.... Checks can be sent in advance made payable to Michael Muldowney for $100.00 per player. You can send checks to:
11405 Fairfield Green Ct
Richmond, VA 23238
If you plan on being at the event, please email Michael Muldowney at firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm. Likewise, if you have any questions - send them to Beave at the email address above. No special requests please - for only $100 you get what you get.

Nu Prime Alumni,
It comes with great pleasure to announce that Nu Prime will be holding its first philanthropy this upcoming weekend. We will be raising money for the Military Heroes Campaign, which honors and aids thousands of military veterans and their families across the US and Canada.
On Sunday October 9th we will be holding a dodgeball tournament, and on Monday October 10th we will be holding a Casino Night, both events will be taking place at the Blacksburg Community Center. Prizes will be given out to participants and winners, with all proceeds going to the Military Heroes Campaign.
We have also started a Go Fund Me page where individuals can donate to the cause in whatever amount they would like to. Donations are greatly appreciated, and will directly benefit the military veterans and families of our country. You can click on the link to the Go Fund Me page here: https://www.gofundme.com/2pzmpcus
Although this philanthropy is on a smaller scale compared to other greek organizations here at Virginia Tech, it is a big step forward for the Nu Prime chapter. Even a small donation to our fund would be extremely appreciated by the active brothers of our chapter. We hope to grow this philanthropy and cause in the years to come.
As always the actives are very grateful for the tremendous support of our Alumni throughout the past few years. If you have any questions regarding the philanthropy or donating, please feel free to reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org or 301-655-4473.
I look forward to connecting with some of you at the alumni tailgate this month or the alumni banquet in the spring. I hope all is well, and thank you so much for your generous support of the Nu Prime chapter. AEKDB.
